Flaming silver

The Pieris Japonica is living up to its name of Forest Flame although this shrub is called Flaming Silver on account of its variegated leaves.   The young leaves are bright red gradually turning pink and then cream and finally green. Normally in spring there are small cream bell-shaped flowers, looking like branches of lily of the valley.
