Goodwill to all men?

I was starting to feel quite Chrismassy, well I was until I did my food shopping today. Thankfully it was not too busy in the supermarket so I was able to notice an elderly, reasonably well dressed man mooching around the fruit and veg very slowly, looking just like any other shopper. However he had no trolley or was with anyone. I noticed him glancing at my trolley which had my empty shopping bags hanging. My instinct told me something wasn't right. So I watched him. He was slowly walking around the area just looking at everyone's trolleys. I realised he was an opportunist thief quite quickly. I reported it to security who were on the case. I noticed alot more security around the aisles after that and a while later overheard one member of staff being told by security they were surrounding him and waiting to stop him.
Then on leaving I saw a young girl in tears being comforted and supported by another couple. Someone had reversed badly into her car as they were leaving. She pulled in thinking the person would then stop and exchange details. But no she sped off in her 4 wheel drive shogun.
I hope they get the car's details off the carpark cameras.
So please remember when shopping keep your belongings very close. There are unfortunately some very nasty people out there.
