Its the Way It Is

A Day in Dublin

Went into the city early this morning to see the Shaping Ireland Exhibition in the National Gallery. I also saw Renoir’s Roses (extra) and Picasso’s Mandolin. The Gallery wasn’t busy so I wandered around at my ease.

I was meeting a friend at 2 for lunch so I had time and took myself over to Sth Great George’s Street as I have heard about a craft market in The George Pub on Saturdays. The decor is decadent and full of brocade and statues. And to my delight the Rathfarnham Ukes were on stage and they were rocking the place. I bought a coffee and sat on a comfy sofa and enjoyed a free concert.

I walked through a sunny St Stephens Green to meet my friend for lunch.

Then after seeing the lady uke players in their red dresses, I caved in and bought myself one in a little boutique in Grafton Street.

So sunny Dublin today was all about paintings, parks, roses, ukuleles and red dresses

Happy May BH everyone
