High Wycombe

Bury St Edmunds, yesterday, South Warwickshire, tomorrow, but today we're in High Wycombe, staying in the oddest little hotel. It's been done out in a pleasing pseudo-Scandi style but the bar has two massive TVs with BT Sport broadcasting at high volume. 

So we didn't hang around but walked into the town to find some dinner. I've never been here before and I don't know where my preconceptions came from but it's an awful lot more run down than I had expected. How can there be so much wealth in this country and a yet so little evidence of it?

(Oh yeah, nine years of Conservative (mis)government.)
