Salmonberry

I visited a garden in Axminster with a friend this afternoon. We just about had the large 13 acre garden to ourselves with fantastic views, birds singing, azaleas, rhododendrons, acers, bluebells, lakes and this Rubus Spectabilis Olympic Double or Salmonberry. They had just one for sale which found it’s way home. We had very dark clouds but only a few spits of rain. Extras show one of the azaleas and a hungry thrush, or maybe it was feeding it’s young.
