Where the animals roam....

These are the skulls of wild animals that used to roam around Blanca Peak in the Rocky Mts. We found them at the museum of the Sand Dunes.
The dunes appeared during prehistoric times when the winds blew into u shaped canyon of the Rocky ‘s..... only the u is far, far wider than a canyon. Over centuries the wind blew sand into the basin with no place to go. The sand collected into dunes that rival the sand dunes on the outer banks.

Astonishing to seethe dunes, so far from any ocean.
