Oedipus

This evening we went to an amazing performance of Oedipus in the Beer Quarry Caves by the Four of Swords theatre group.  What a setting, very atmospheric especially the way the vocals when the cast members sang reverberated through the caves. The odd dripping of water from the cave roof also added to the mood. We were led through the caves by the players who cleverly weaved the audience into the play. They had little need for props as the lighting and dimly lit caves was enough.  Here you can see Oedipus confronting the blind prophet Tiresias to find out the truth about who killed the former King Laius.  A great performance.
