Heddons Mouth

Today was the start of the Barnstaple Camera Club Summer Walks programme. The weather did not look very promising, dry but with a cold wind, and very little sun. So I walked around to friends J &F for my lift up to the north coast to Heddons Mouth. After parking in the National Trust car park, we started our walk down one side of the river. We saw dippers and a yellow wagtail on route. At the mouth it was clear the tide was on its way in and was been whipped up by the wind. We then returned up the the other side of the river, to the Hunters Inn for a meal before heading home. 

We stopped on route at Holdstone Down, to the west of Combe Martin to catch the sunset, see extra.
