Gourd grief

At least I think they are gourds. I spotted this in the harbour at Fethiye. There were a few of these posts in the water along the shore all with varying numbers of painted gourds or pots hanging from them. I'm not sure what they are for, but they are certainly different.
20,880 steps today so pleased with that.
