In the time of the Oil Crisis of 1973-74, there was some Brit comedy series where they cracked jokes over the ways to spare energy. You could take a shower with someone nice (of course a middle-aged boss and a pretty secretary) and sleep skin to skin, like Unski and Aapo. "Shared Bodily Warmth" was a governmental motto.
