Bathroom Backer Boards

Idea for this bathroom is to have backer board going round the room as it just makes cleaning easier. Plus it stop water from the shower/bath/sink going onto the walls where it just creates mold (if uncleaned). Good thing about backer board - if it get moldy, you simply tear it down and replace.

So first two walls are done, just need to cut the hole for the window. Not that the far wall has a three latches which fix the backer board to the wall. Reason - the backer board is glued down, and on that top edge, it needs to sit against the wall properly. A bit of chair rail will top the board, but that board needs to be stuck fast against the wall.

The little latches make sure it stays pressed for the night.

Tomorrow I have one more board to cut, 4 pieces of chair rail to cut and paint, and I need to put the trim back on the window. Reinstalling the toilet and pedestal sink will take no time. And that's the bathroom done! (Got to paint it as well of course...).
