The future!!

A trip to town this morning in preparation for a forthcoming holiday. I was surprised to see how busy it was, loads of people on the streets.

This afternoon I finished the mending and then had a practice with the overlocker. So far so good, but I haven’t needed to rethread it or anything else yet. It is noisy....sounds like a tractor!!!!

This evening I went to the public lecture at the Uni. The NHS 50 years of success but where next?  It was amazing. I normally go to the Maths & Physics lectures with B and follow about 10% of the proceedings, but this was my specialist subject and I was in my element. I won’t try to explain any of it, as things can be taken out of context!! But, there will never be enough money and AI will have a greater role in diagnosis !!

The only negative about the evening was the absence of coffee and biscuits. The M&P sessions have refreshments on arrival, we even had cake last time!!! But nothing this time. It is a different department doing the organising. I will know next time and be prepared, as I was short of time tonight I headed out without having had a drink.
