Piece Hall

We had an awayday at the Piece Hall in Halifax and it was as remarkable as I’d anticipated. I can’t believe that when it opened in 1779 it was only open for 2 hours a week for no doubt manic cloth trading, and it was only operational for 10 years. It’s now home to small shops, bars and cafes with events now and again eg Antiques Roadshow a couple of weeks ago and a gig with Elbow this summer.
