The Bird Trap

It was a quiet visitor day at Hill of Tarvit yesterday and I took the opportunity to take some detail Blipfotos of the Painting Collection.

This is the detail of the Bird Trap which features in Pieter Bruegel the Younger’s painting entitled "Winter Landscape and Bird Trap". There is an extensive of Dutch Paintings which feature winter scenes.

Enjoyed coffee and cake with Pat at the Fife Folk Museum and caught the extra picture of a Wemyss Wear cat. Wemyss Wear, (a perennial favourite of the Antiques Roadshow) is still made in Ceres and Hill of Tarvit has the NTS Collection on permanent display.

Just as we were leaving we met ”Railway Pete" who took the opportunity to ask if I could talk about the Forth Bridge which is the correct name for the remarkable Railway Bridge. He would like me to address a local sailing club.
