Snake in the Bush

It is a gloriously warm day so I decided to make my way to the Botanical Gardens to see if I could find a bee, a hoverfly, perhaps a butterfly or a small flower for Tiny Tuesday.   This Garter Snake was the last thing I expected to see, especially sitting in an evergreen bush at about hip level with dozens of kids and parents on school trips walking by.  None of them noticed the snake, even when I stopped to get my shots.

Thanks to all of you for your good wishes about the news we are to have our eighth grandchild.  We are beyond excited.

Many thanks to ninniex for hosting Tiny Tuesday today and for the month of May.

hmmmm.....Looking at my exif data and wondering how my ISO got pushed up to 800. It was a good thing I was close.
