A400M

Today I went up flying on the A400M Atlas. Two of the crew I knew from back in the day when I flew Hercules. We flew round the islands here and then dropped down over the sea to practice lining up to drop lifesaving equipment. The orange tubes would be dropped into the sea and pop open with dingies to support people in the sea until a ship or a helicopter can get there to lift them out the sea. It was much fun standing down the back with the ramp and door open. I was secured in a harness so I didn’t fall out!!!
