The Federal Election is set to take place on 18th May but early voting has started. Because voting is compulsory* here they need to allow people the time to get their vote in. We can’t vote, even if we were staying as we are on a temporary visa!

*first time offenders get fined $20. Repeat offenders get fined $50.
