Sand, Sea and Sky

On the way to football in the later afternoon sunshine. The game started very well, with a neat turn and shot for our opening goal and then a through pass for our second. After that it all turned. The last player turned up, giving us the extra man and, as often is the case, the team with one fewer seemed to benefit. Working harder, aware they needed to make up for the uneven sides, they just played better than us. They got all the breaks - we hit posts or just missed, while almost all of their shots went in - but we should have done better. Ah well, there's always next week.
