Battle Ground

To you this might look like a common or garden red flowering gum in the middle of a car park - which it is.  But to the lorikeets and other parrots in the area it's a major source of food - and there's not a lot of it around right now.  Most of the parrot species are coming into their breeding season, so nutrition is very important. 

Hence all the fighting and scrapping over what is available.  The noise was deafening.
