A dying tradition, or not?

I'm wondering if youngsters today send cards to their cousins, aunties, uncles, etc in the same way that an older generation do/did.

Today I went into the big city by bus and noticed that the emergency exit windows require a hammer to break the glass and the hammer is encased in glass that needs to be broken"In emergency break to remove hammer".
