The New Caledonian Sleeper
Early this morning I had a public facing voluntary role at Waverley. By chance today was the first for the new posh Lowlander sleeping cars. Unfortunately the launch day was marred by a signalling fault at Carstairs yesterday that caused three hour delays to the sleeper service. The Highlander sleeper was being divided into 3 sections for Aberdeen/Inverness/Fort William in the middle of all the other commuter services using this busy station.
Later I spent an evening voluntary shift at HMP Edinburgh.
The gorse on Salisbury Crags looked magnificent in the stunning sunset this evening.
