Rock Pool

Rain overnight partly filled the depression in an edging stone, and plastered a tiny maple leaf onto the surface. I like the way the wee pool reflects the tree above it.

The relatively benign weather we have been experiencing for more than a week suddenly turned nasty at lunchtime. Down came the temperature and the rain, and a stiff wind that blew half the leaves from the pin oak.
