Early purple orchiids

I returned to my Favorite piece of woodland where the Early purple orchids grow in abundance today and I was not disappointed!
It is amazing, tiny piece of woodland absolutely brimming with the heady combination of Early purple orchids and bluebells, such a magical, secret place ....I just love it.
On another note entirely Olie came in with a live bird this evening, and in my attempt to get him to drop it I got bitten on the fleshy part of my hand below my thumb. Needless to say I have washed it well with hibiscrub and I will go to A&E tomorrow just to get it checked....and on top of all that the poor blackbird died! Olie is NOT in my good books at the moment!!
