Greater Spotted

This is probably the most timid bird I’ve ever seen. He’s taunted us all winter, making fleeting visits to the bird feeder but today he finally stayed long enough for me to take a photo.

We woke up to a light covering of snow again but it had gone by lunchtime. The weather really can’t make its mind up!
