Country Lane

The woods are now full of colour with wild flowers - the daffs gone and the bluebells on their way out but wild garlic, Celandines, Campions and others I don't know the name of have taken their place and soon it will be the foxgloves! A walk through the woods is always a pleasure!
My car is coming Tuesday! It's actually been fine not having a car. The Exile got me the odd ingredient I needed, including locusts for Gunther! Oscar is happy walking in the local woods as am I! I bet he will go doolally when we finally go somewhere else for a walk though! I get my food delivered by Gousto and as for the coop I asked the other coop members to get pellets and take the battery up! With giving up two of my rota duties I feel like I have stepped back from being the sole provider! Colourful Mai may have found a new member to do the friday eve - phew! I really had to dig my heels in on that one as even a once a month close for each member of the coop seemed to be asking the earth of them!
It's good to go without things that one feels are essential to ones life - they can really turn out not to be!
Speaking of the coop I found a newt in the hens water trough! I think it got stuck as its a slippery plastic trough clipped on the side of the run. Lucky I saw it before one of the hens ate it! It's now swimming around in a big pond on one of the allotment plots!
