Spring is Coming

We should have been joining family today for a week's holiday in the Gower, but we have decided to delay a day as I still don't feel quite up to travelling.

Today was the shortest day (in the Northern Hemisphere), and this afternoon I briefly inspected the rain-soaked quagmire that is our garden. To say it is not looking at its best now would be something of an understatement, but these daffodil shoots give a welcome reminder that spring will come.
