Call Out

I was at our local fire station planning to add it to my list of 'local' photos but there is really nothing that makes the building interesting.

I was incredibly fortunate that there was a call out while I was sitting in my car thinking out where to photograph next.  Our local brigade is a volunteer one, so when the siren went off members began arriving to man the engines.

I stayed while they geared up, and consider myself fortunate to have been able to capture some images of the engines heading out.  

Not so fortunate of course that there was a call out.  They headed north, along with two police cars and Goggle tells me that a car and horse float flipped near Orari.  One person taken to hospital but fortunately no fatalities.
