A WHITE SURPRISE

this morning when I awoke. And it snowed during the morning all the time.
So I cared for the birds, myself, Piet Hein and Mischa in that order.
It was the first real thick snow this year for us and I counted many Christmasses trees outside in the garden. The trees have such a regal appearence when loaded with snow.
We celebrated the solstice at the foot of our oaktree, with lights and poems that Piet Hein and I had found and read them aloud.
We'll look tomorrow for the lights and the X-mas decorations and will have to decide how to use them this year.

My haiku:

Our hearts and hands
Felt the silence of the oak
Waiting for the light

And the proverb:

A snow year, a rich year.
