Close

Close, as it is used in this photograph, is a Scots word for an alleyway.  It can be seen sometimes between individual properties, or in a town between larger buildings and is used as a shortcut, instead of having to go the full length of the High street to get somewhere.  This close is in Kirkcudbright and it always features an interesting display of items.
