and it did.
Leaving Penzance for St Mary’s into the tail end of a “gale 8 to severe gale 9, reducing to 5 or 6 later”.
The Scillonian is a tough little ship but she leapt about like a stallion with a burr under the saddle. The gov and I took the safe option and ate for most of the two and a half hour crossing.
Still blustery and with rain squalls but is supposed to be improving tomorrow.
