King's Day Eve

Tomorrow is King's Day here in The Netherlands, marking a weekend full of celebrations for the nation. Today there have been many music stages set up around the city, lots of food and drink trucks have appeared and lots of people are out and about listening to the bands which are playing and just generally getting together to celebrate. I used to think us Scottish did not need much of an excuse to party but here in Holland they take their national holidays very seriously and events are planned ages in advance. Tomorrow, everyone dresses on orange, there will be lots of flea-markets set up along the streets and lots of organised entertainment for the young and the not-so-young. The sun is shining this evening but unfortunately I don't think the forecast is good for tomorrow.
