MASTERS TEA ROOM
Popped into Kendal today was it was cold and showery. I've been to a computer shot CNL I think it's called and spoken to them. The young man who served me understood about Lightroom and after further discussion and him doing some research I've ordered a new laptop with him going to install Lightroom and Photoshop on the new laptop for me. Fingers crossed this will work. My hubby will then take over my laptop as it has been upgraded and his is really coming to the end of its life.
After that I took G for a coffee and scone and went into The Masters House Tea Rooms. Not a bad tea rooms, not the best but OK just for coffee etc, they only have a very small kitchen so are limited what they can provide, but it's quite attractive, table service and NO MUSIC (which to me is brilliant). It's an interesting building at any rate. Usually I prefer The Two Sisters but that's quite a bit further along.
The photo is of G in the interior of the Masters Tea Room, I've also included a few extras of the Tea Room and Kendal Town Clock.
I believe that then The Masters Tea Room was the site of The Masters House that looked after The Poorhouse and I think there are almshouses behind it. This is in the Kirklandgate area of Kendal and I believe used to be called Kirkby Kendal or Kirkby in Kendal.
I hope that fellow blippers who know much more about Kendal that myself will correct me if I'm wrong.
