Chariots of Mire

Peering over the bridge balustrade at the view towards Canary Wharf, we spotted a cotchel* of old shopping trolleys all piled up in the mud. They had been considerately dumped in a heap for easy recovery. 

After this it was onward through Upton Park, Plaistow and Forest Gate - West Ham territory. Then finally to a posh coffee stop for pricey refreshments.

* Cotchel:- Cockney slang for a batch of something left behind e.g. the market trader's left over fruit and veg for his own consumption.
I only heard this recently and am enjoying trotting it out at every opportunity.
