Hatschi!

My Dear Princess & Dear Fellows,

After Auslaender revealed that "aatchoo" in German is "hatschi", I was able to spend pretty much all of ANZAC Day sneezing in the old Deutsch. God knows what was going on with pollen but -

hatschi-hatschi-hatschi-hatschi-hatschi

- later, I was feeling like an invisible elf had been having rough nose-sex with my face all afternoon.

To be clear, this is not a good feeling.

Caro, meanwhile, asked me to put on a murder mystery. I put on the glamour 1970's version of "Murder On The Orient Express". To be fair, we really really do know who did it now. But for Caro, it's not about that. It's about seeing Dame Wendy Hiller being very English opposite Lauren Bacall.

But then she fell asleep. In the first two minutes. Missed the whole thing. She woke up right at the end so I started it again. And she did it again.

If I'm giving you the impression that nothing of import happened on ANZAC Day you would be wrong. For a start, here is the last cicada of the summer. I've never seen one up close before. The little fellow was giving the occasional chirp. And as you can see, I took the opportunity to have a good old neb.

One for the road - HATSCHI!
