Dinner out

I thought I’d be showing a picture of me dressed up (with a skirt I’d made) for the dinner I was at this evening, except I didn’t manage to get any pictures (and I’m generally not impressed with what looks back at me from the mirror these days). So instead, I took a picture of my dinner.... I don’t think I’ve ever had the name of the dinner written on my dinner before (or my dessert).

Interesting evening, I had to host a VIP at the drinks reception, which is an honour, but also so frustrating when you find out there are so many people you haven’t seen for ages and would just love to catch up with in the ‘non-vip’ bar. I was officially off-duty for dinner, but on a top table, so hosted a rather important American guest who was very interesting, and a former master of one of the livery companies, who was very good company.

Husband had to stay home on childcare duty, would love to have been at the dinner with him.

Home super late, not sure I’ll be up with the boys or at work on time tomorrow......
