They are still laughing at me!

We were at a new venue today. I was driving the lorry, which all went fine until I tried to turn into the church car park. The road was narrow, there were parked cars and I couldn’t get a swing on and the gates weren’t very wide. Well, I reversed into the gates of a garage opposite and got stuck on the gate hinge. Aram was saying go forward, the man from the church was there saying “you’re okay go forward,” and I could see I was scraping the lorry. Mike asked if I wanted him to take over. I was reluctant and I hate to be defeated, but I let him. He just moved forward and scraped it more....well I could have done that!

I was then unloading the lorry once it was safely on the car park and as there was a slight slope I went to grab the handles of a cage and missed them and nearly went flying.

I had to set up the computer and we have a password which is on the phone. The battery was nearly dead so I plugged it in to charge and got really frustrated when it still wouldn’t work.....until Mike kindly pointed out that I hadn’t switched it on at the socket...aaaargh.

Sue wanted to know if they could get a carer’s allowance for looking after me :(((

It wasn’t a bad day in the end though and I got the lorry out without a problem. Mike offered to do it but I was determined to get it out ....or die trying!!!

Anyway, I’m still collecting all my needle caps, it’s become an obsession...sigh.

I finished a fab book if anyone fancies a great read....Circe by Madeline Miller. (She also wrote Song of Achilles). I loved it.
