On the start line at Prescott
A back blip from yesterday when our local photographic club went to Prescott Hill Climb drivers' school day which kicks off their racing season. There is an opportunity to walk the course and drivers who are going to compete at Prescott can then have lots of runs up the hill (about 10 yesterday) to get back into practice.
We had April showers, one of which was during and after lunch, when I took this shot of Mr Sk in his Lotus Elise waiting for his turn up the hill. But generally we were lucky with the weather and it was lovely to spend the day outside with all the bluebells, primroses and blossom in full bloom. The five of us from our club were treated as guests of Mr Sk and were given bacon sandwiches and coffee to start the day, a wonderful lunch and finally tea and cakes!
My extra shows yet another attempt at a panning shot which, ideally, has the subject pin sharp and the background blurred to give an impression of speed. I'm not there yet but my attempts yesterday were certainly better than they were this time last year.
