Long Tails
One of the problems with being in the East is the time differences so last night the skype conference calls for work started a midnight to be in line with guys in the office in San Fran at 9am. Fortunately it didn't last too long and the connection held out and I could sleep by 1am.
This meant a nice lazy start to the day and a transfer by long tail boat to another island. This shot is one of those longtails heading off after dropping us.
They are amazing boats powered by old car engines. The ingenious locals take the prop shaft and attach a propeller to it then attach it to a rocker on the back of the boat so they can point it in the right direction. The longtail name coming from the length of the prop shaft.
Some relaxing yoga and diving tomorrow.
