ANZAC Day 2019

No fog today, instead we had a pretty sunrise for the local ANZAC service.

For the Fallen

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

I went to the dawn service, we were treated to the 'NZ Veterans Brass Band', who were playing "Abide With Me' when I arrived at the lake front. Very moving.  The photos that missed the cut are:

(2)  Playing The Tuba
(3)  The Bugler 
(4)  The swirl of the Bagpipes

A very well organised and solemn event.

I had morning tea with the photographers meeting a friend from the USA for the first time.  It was great to meet her.  I then went to Croquet, only 5 of us there, so the games were pretty short and sweet.  

Quite warm +18C.
