Baby Boom!

I spotted this rather unusually coloured female mallard in the vegetation at the edge of Maxwell Park pond. I obviously disturbed and as she moved towards the water her 12 ducklings scuttled along behind her to the water.

Ducklings disappear very quickly and although I saw them today I could visit the pond again tomorrow and not see a sign of them.
