Pixie in the tree
Last day of school for Emma, but she still had a ballet session to do after that. Luckily they could go in any fancy dress get up they liked. Emma chose to wear her little elf outfit. Her face looks a bit flat in this photo, thanks I think to the flash, which I had set to trailing curtain to get some movement in the tree lights. Then again, she lost her second front tooth today, so it may just be that. :)
L & G went off to town to shop, while I stayed in to work and listen out for the string of delivery men arriving with various orders we have all been placing. They all arrived when they should have, except the one that Gaby had paid extra to arrive this morning! She had some choice words to direct at them later and is getting her money back and they can keep the item which was meant for a friend's birthday tonight.
As it is our wedding anniversary (again), I made paella followed by masses of profiteroles filled with creme patisserie. I would have made them into a piece montée or croquembouche, but that would have needed masses of hard caramel to hold it together and I'm not totally partial to that, so just piled them high with chocolate sauce - yum!
