Canary Bird.

Thanks to blip and the fact that I wanted to publish this photo I have now discovered the name of this delightful rose. It is a shrub rose and flowers on old wood, it is also growing out of a hedge so the hedge has to be pruned around it to leave the maximum amount of flowering wood but, for the next few weeks, that time is well worth the result.

Hot day in the garden today and my first day of wearing shorts to work.

A visit to the garage at lunchtime to diagnose what I thought was a wheel bearing issue appears to be due to a tyre breaking down and bulging. They put the spare on and, I think, have solved the problem but did discover that the brake discs need replacing.
