Avenue

It was back to work for me today, although it's still relatively quiet as term time proper doesn't resume until next week.

I went for my usual lunch time walk through the park, the avenues of trees are getting a little greener. I spotted one Small White and a couple of Speckled Wood.

Later, I went to Nethermoor to watch  Leeds United U23 v Newcastle United U23 in the semi-final of the Premier League Cup, a repeat of a group stage match that I saw a couple of months ago. Leeds won that one 3-1, but it was Newcastle that took the honours tonight, with three second half goals securing a 3-0 win. A crowd of over 3,000 will have boosted the Guiseley AFC coffers a little bit.
