Bleeding Heart

Josh turned up at 8.45am to make a start on the terrace wall that we're having rendered.  Today's job was to knock down a brick built BBQ and then to remove all the coping stones and a layer of bricks to make the top of the wall completely level.  Saltdean was known for it's awful flower bricks and tomorrow he's going to fill these in with cement and then once they're dry, he can render the wall.

I left him to it and went to the gym, and by the time I got back he'd gone to the tip  I showered,  got ready for work  and had some lunch before setting off.    Unfortunately there was what appeared to be a bad accident on the coast road, and the Police had closed the road, so I had to join the line of cars trying to find another route and finally arrived about 30 minutes late - not the start to the day I wanted!  I've since read that it was a gas leak, so I'm not sure what actually happened.

Work was fine, until a patient screamed that she'd seen a rat!  The said patient was in a wheelchair and I'd opened the back door for her and left it open while they got her chair out of the car, so I think it must have run in then.  Anyway it ran into the downstairs toilet, so I shut the door on it, told Shaughan of the problem and when she was with me, I went in to see if t was still there - it was!  So she called pest control who came out rather quickly and the rat is no more - the whole area has been sanitised and the rat catcher confirmed that there's no way it could have got in there through any other means, and it was just unfortunate that it had spotted the open door!  Anyway, all's well that end's well!

As for my blip, it's one of my new bleeding hearts that I bought the other day, I think it's got to be my favourite little flower.
