Horse Chestnut

After a 4am alarm call, two flights and a very long day, I went for a walk along the river next to my hotel, mainly to keep me awake until the team from Finland arrive. There was lots of birdsong and tons of blackbirds about and also some fieldfares which I will gladly add to my list for this year. Unfortunately, with only an old iPhone I did  not manage to get any decent shots of the fieldfares, but I did like this horse chestnut tree that was full of blossom - I think they will have a lot of conkers later in the year. 
Now I am off to have a late dinner with the Finns. I will catch up eventually - promise!! (I made a start this morning at the airport but did not get very far)
