Burning!

That is the smoke from a huge wild fire up on the moor, some twenty miles distant. It is ironic that the Wolf of Badenoch, who  lived in this castle on the loch in the fourteenth century set fire to Elgin Cathedral, in that direction , so it would have looked the same to them then!
It was hot, sunny and up here windy; all conditions to feed the flames.
