Christmas Fayre Fort William style

Animals doing weird things....a deer on a segway...stretching it a bit I know!!!

I use the term Fayre loosely!

Fort William did it in it's own inimitable style!!

C and I went in search of mulled wine which we were told was there and this is what we discovered.....the pubs were handing out soup....the butcher was handing out whiskey and selling Irn Bru sausages!! When we asked in a pub for mulled wine the barman said "we don't have any mulled wine but I'll heat up some cider for you if you want"!! Santa and Rudolph arrived by segway!! The firemen were parading the High street in tartan santa hats. The mountain rescue had a stretcher laid out in the High street for all the people who imbibed too much mulled wine....it was empty for obvious reasons!!!! There were three separate groups of carol singers....not all in tune....and a pipe band!! There was a woman dressed as a Christmas tree. People brought blocks of ice that they had frozen for an ice sculpture which ended up looking like a wall.

Crazy and only in the Fort!!!!

School has broken up for the Holidays....Christmas is nearly here!! I wouldn't like you to get the impression that I'm an alcoholic but I am ensconsed by the fire with a Baileys!!!
