Free Range!

I trusted Lottie to be off her lead in the field today, once I'd made sure Bonny the Bantam was foraging elsewhere.  She loved it!  Being able to run without coming to a sudden stop at the end of her tether!  Knowing that I had a pocket full of treats, she wasn't going to go far but most of the time she is pretty good at coming back when called.

It was great to be able to spent another day outside. I got some Florence fennel sown and shunted pots about to make the most use of the sunshine while  Mike mowed all the grass along the road side.  It belongs to our neighbour, but we have had the use of it, for putting the dinghy on, growing plants that are too big for our garden, having the brazier on, putting our bench on, etc. since we moved in ten years ago.  I have usually cut it, but this year I am otherwise occupied  . . . . !
