Fountains Abbey

C & L kindly took the 'old folks' for a day out at Fountains Abbey!!
As you'd expect on such a sunny Bank Holiday there were a lot of folk with the same idea, but we set off quite early and had no problem parking or getting a coffee or an ice cream, and had a good walk around the Abbey and Studley Royal.
It was lovely to see all the families who were there picnicking on the grass in amongst the stones of the abbey.
A very enjoyable meal at 'The Inn' at South Stainley on the way home.
