Taste of the Forest

Many years (ok, decades) ago my Mum 'liberated' a tiny sapling from the middle of a path in the Rothiemurchus Forest.

These days the tiny sapling is still thriving in a garden in darkest Surrey - I love pale new growth that appears each spring.
